Finding A Leather Guitar strap can be tricky. So why should you buy one of my handmade leather guitar straps?
One of the most important things that your guitar strap needs to do is support your guitar. If it looks good whilst doing it then fantastic.
Handmade
As you know, not all guitarists have the same playing style or needs. Being handmade and individually made bespoke means that I can change designs to fit your personal requirements.
Leather edges are polished for a smooth finish making my guitar straps comfortable to wear for extended periods.
Any stitching is carried out by hand using a traditional saddler's double hand stitch. This is much stronger than machine stitching and will not easily pull apart even if a stitch wears through.
Leather
I use English bridle leather for all of my handmade guitar straps. I use bridle leather from JE Sedgwick. This is a full grain leather that is cut from the butt of the cow's hide. This is the strongest and best part of a hide.
Bridle leather means that your guitar strap is probably one of the strongest leather guitar straps around. I have 14 different full grain leather colours to choose from. Ensuring that you can find a colour to suit your genre and style.
English bridle leather is also very strong. The leather that I use is capable of holding a heavy horse so it can certainly support the weight of your heavy Gibson Les Paul guitar.
Style
Apart from choosing various design styles, with fixed length, buckle and ladder adjustable guitar straps. You can also choose the best guitar fitting. With 8mm buttonhole and 10mm strap lock fittings.
Styles include 3 inch wide guitar straps for heavy guitars and narrow 1 inch wide straps for hollow-body and acoustic guitars. Fancy a mixture of widths? Then how about a narrow guitar strap with a wider shoulder pad?
